Useful functionalities in the app
Anyone with a personal identification card can use My Access
Apply for a P or E pass for access to other government buildings. Simply select the location and desired period and - depending on the access policy of the location - you will receive immediate access or your application will first be assessed and you will receive a message whether your application has been approved.
You can also easily find the route to the location where you have requested access via the navigation function.
A National Pass that has not been used on location for 35 days is automatically inactivated, a standard in the context of safety. You will receive a notification in the app 5 days before you become inactive due to this 35-day rule. You will be offered the option to keep your card active. You no longer have to come to the office specifically to have the card reactivated, a time-consuming process that is insufficiently suited to hybrid working methods. This is only possible if your card has a valid status in the GCMS and you have a working relationship with the government.
At more and more locations you can use useful new functions such as operating lockers to store your belongings and a trial is being conducted with operating the bicycle key issue box of a loan bicycle yourself. You will also find information about the applications that almost everyone already knows and uses, such as requesting access yourself and secure printing and scanning. To get the full benefits from your Rijkspas and make duplicate resources unnecessary, we, together with the Central Government Real Estate Agency and the facility service providers, look at the need and possibilities to make new functions available at more locations.
Safe and user-friendly. The App meets the requirements in the field of information security, privacy and Digiaccessibility. After downloading, you will be asked to enter some of your Rijkspas details and create a PIN code to use all functionalities safely.
Employees of user organizations that are not yet connected to Generic Card Management can continue to use the IDT app for the time being to request access to other buildings.
